Honda India recalls Hness CB350 and CB350RS, Repair will be done for free

Honda India has announced a voluntary recall for the Hness CB350 and the CB350RS due to a possible malfunction of rear stop light switch.

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has announced a voluntary recall for the Hness CB350 and the CB350RS. According to the company, the recall has been issued due to The recall has been issued due to a possible malfunction of rear stop light switch and a separate issue with the bank angle sensor. The repair will be done free of cost at Honda BigWing dealerships, irrespective of the warranty.

Honda recalls Hness CB350 and CB350RS

The bikes manufactured between October 2020 and January 2023 will be affected, said Honda. The bike owners can make a booking at the nearby Honda BigWing dealerships to replace the  bike’s rear light switch. An improper process being followed to manufacture the rubber parts of the rear stop light switch caused this malfunction. The improper manufacture of the the rubber parts might lead to the development of cracks and cause water entry and corrosion inside the switch, leading the light to malfunction.

The process will start in the second week of December 2023. So, if your Honda Hness CB350 or the CB350RS has been manufactured during the aforementioned period, then you should visit the nearest BigWing dealership for the same.

Apart from that, the brand has also issued a recall for a faulty bank angle sensor. As per the company, due to an inappropriate moulding procedure of sensor housing, a gap might occur in sensor body sealing. This could cause water entry inside the bank angle sensor and make it malfunction. Moreover, the vehicle could also stall in a worse situation. The units manufactured between October 2020 to December 2021 are affected by this.
