Ather Halo Smart Helmet Series with music control and calling features launched; Price and other details

Ather Energy recently introduced the Rizta family scooter at its 2024 Community Day event. The electric two-wheeler maker has also introduced its new product, which is a series of smart helmet on the same event. Called as Halo Smart Helmet series, the latest product of Ather comes with advanced smart features, two speakers from Harman Kardon that helps in music control and to receive call. The Halo series helmets have a starting price of Rs 12,999. It is now available for pre booking at a token amount of Rs 499.

The Smart Helmet from Ather Energy comes with features like auto-WearDetect technology and wireless charging. The two speakers from Harman Kardon aids in music and receive call directly from the helmet. This lets the riders drive without worrying about missing any call or to reach out to their phones while riding.

The Halo Series helmets have an interesting feature that allows the rider and the pillion to communicate with each other through the helmet. The feature is called ChitChat. However, you will need to add an device called the Halo Bit to have this facility. Moreover, you will need to pay an additional Rs 5,000 for the Halo Bit.

Apart from talking, the helmets also has music sharing feature that will let the rider and pillion listen to the same music concurrently.

For disruption free and premium audio service, Ather Energy has collaborated with Harman Kardon. This promises to eliminate the disruption caused by ambient noise while riding.

The Halo helmet boasts a battery life of up to a week and features built-in wireless charging. It can also be charged while being under the seat of the Rizta scooter as it is equipped with a wireless charging solution in its boot space. Moreover, the wear-detect technology automatically identifies when the helmet is worn, enabling connectivity between the helmet, smartphone, and scooter.

Additionally, Ather also introduced the Halo Bit, a modular extension compatible with the brand’s half-face helmets. Ather has developed ISI and DOT-rated custom half-face helmets, soon to be available to customers, that can be equipped with the Halo Bit module, transforming any Ather helmet into a smart helmet.

The introductory price for the Halo series starts at Rs 13,000 for the full face, with the Halo Bit priced at Rs 5,000. However, attendees of the Community Day event were offered a significant 50 per cent discount on the Halo helmet.
