Samy Launches India’s Cheapest Android Smart TV At Rs 4,999

New Delhi: Samy Informatics has launched India’s cheapest 32-inch Android Smart TV at just Rs. 4,999.  However, the total price (including taxes and shipping) may end up above Rs 7,000 for a city like Noida and above Rs 8,000 for “all over India”. Also, the Samy 32-inch TV can be bought only through the Samy app, only after the buyer verifies himself through Aadhaar.

The 32-inch smart Samy TV runs on Android OS and is compatible with all smart apps as well as services. According to the company, the TV has all the necessary features to provide a smart TV experience.  The smart TV was launched at an event in Delhi’s at Constitution Club of India at New Delhi.

The 32-inch smart Sammy TV features a 1366 x 768 resolution IPS HD panel and a smart TV interface powered by Android 4.4 KitKat. The TV set also sports a pair of 10W speakers, 2 HDMI as well as 2 USB ports.

The company also offers all the wall mount accessories as well as a smart TV remote along with the TV set, which weighs around 6Kg.

If you want to buy Samy’s Smart TV, you need to download the Samy app on your mobile. Once it is downloaded, you can buy the Samy TV by authenticating yourself via your Aadhaar number. After the authentication, you will be asked by Samy to fill up a form to purchase the TV. The final price of the TV will be on the basis of where you are based.

The company reportedly manufactures all the parts locally under Central Government’s ‘Make In India’ campaign and aims to offer smart TV experience to people at the cheapest possible price.
