Australia include 7-year-old leg-spinner for 3rd Test

Melbourne : Cricket Australia announced on Sunday that seven-year-old Archie Schiller will co-captain the home team alongside Tim Paine in the Boxing Day Test against India at the Melbourne Cricket Ground starting from December 26.

The leg-spinner, who turned seven on Saturday, from Adelaide suffers from a heart condition. He has already undergone 13 surgeries.

Schiller’ dream has been made possible through Make-A-Wish Australia, which learned of Archie’s circumstances and aspirations when he prepared for his most recent operation.

The young leg-spinner also practised with the Australian team during a training session at the Adelaide Oval earlier this month.
