Delhi-bound SpiceJet flight engine catches fire

Patna: A Delhi-bound Spicejet aircraft, carrying 185 passengers, landed safely back in Patna right after take-off as its left engine caught fire.

Reportedly, locals noticed a fire in the aircraft & informed district & airport officials. The SpiceJet flight returned to Patna after a bird hit and one engine shut in the air, informed Directorate General of Civil Aviation.

An alternate flight has been arranged by SpiceJet airlines. This incident is a matter of investigation, said Director, Patna airport.
