Indian Railways start destination wake up alert service, See details

Indian Railways have initiated providing a new facility- destination wake up alarm. In this service, the passengers will be informed about their arrival at the destination with 20 minutes at hand.

The facility is to be carried out via interactive voice alert responses on enquiry service number 139. Passengers interested in availing this facility are to request the alert by dialing 139 on the service enquiry system. After the call has been made the passenger will be asked for a 10 digit PNR number for the destination alert.

After following a short procedure the booking will be considered confirmed. The passenger will be charged a sum of three rupees for each SMS alert to avail the service. The service is to remain available from 11 pm to 7 am.

The Indian Railways has also taken up some measures, beginning from July 1 to provide passengers a better and smooth travel experience.
