PM Modi’s Speech On 72nd Independence Day To Stream Live On YouTube

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation from the ramparts of Delhi’s historic Red Fort on Wednesday, to commemorate the 72nd Independence Day. The PM is likely to announce pilot projects of ‘Ayushman Bharat’ in select district hospitals besides emphasizing on increased financial inclusion.

As per official reports, PM Modi’s Independence day speech this year will be live streamed on YouTube. This is being done to ensure that the Prime Minister’s speech and his vision reaches every corner of the country, touching the lives of common people all over the country.

Prasar Bharti has joined hands with Google to broadcast PM Modi’s speech in order to increase its visibility in India and abroad. Prasar Bharti CEO Shashi Shekhar Vempati told The Hindu that the live stream of the Independence Day event from Red Fort is a high viewership event. Apart from YouTube, viewers can also access the broadcast through Google’s homepage.

PM Modi is likely to announce the launch of the Ayushman Bharat-National Health Protection Scheme (AB-NHPS) on a pilot basis in some states on Wednesday. The AB-NHPM proposes to provide a health coverage of Rs 5 lakh per family annually and is expected to benefit more than 10 crore poor families all across the country. It will chiefly prioritise on people from poor, deprived rural families and identified occupational category of urban workers’ families.

In order to provide a boost to the government’s financial inclusion drive, the Prime Minister is also expected to announce benefits for about 32 crore Jan Dhan account holders in his address on Wednesday.
