Keonjhar: Tension ran high in Nuamalia village under Ramachandrapur police limits in the district on Thursday after unidentified miscreants killed a youth and dumped his mutilated body on road.
The deceased has been identified as Tutuna Jena of Kadadihi village.
The incident came to light early in the morning after some commuters found the body on a village road and called up police. Grievous injury marks were seen all over the body of the deceased.
Police reached the spot and started investigation with the help of scientific team. Later, they rushed the body for postmortem.
Police personnel in large number have been deployed in the village in view of the palpable tension which is prevailing there following the incident.
