Maoist posters surface in Odisha’s Kalahandi district

Maoist postersBhawanipatna: After a brief lull, Red fear gripped Kalahandi district again on Sunday with Maoist posters surfacing in Trilochanpur village under Lanjigarh block. The Maoist posters warned suspected police informers in the area of dire consequences.

Some locals first spotted the posters in the Trilochanpur Market area this morning. The posters put up on mango trees categorically mentioned the Niyamgiri area and dubbed it as the property of tribals. It also cautioned the Kalahandi and Rayagada police against visiting the Niyamgiri area claiming that the cops are perpetrating brutalities on the innocent tribals. The Maoists posters warned all locals against cooperating with the police for which they could risk death in Kangaroo courts.

Lanjigarh Police reached the spot after getting information on the posters from locals and seized them. A combing operation has been launched in the nearby forest to nab the Red rebels.
