Jay Panda’s remark: Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik gives befitting reply

Bhubaneswar: In a befitting reply to BJD MP Baijayant Panda’s statement on interference of bureaucracy in the state politics, BJD supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday rejected the allegation saying people level such false allegations when they have no other issues.

“When they have no other issues, they attack my office. This is nothing new,” replied Patnaik while responding to media query on Panda’s jibe at his office.

When asked if he would seek any explanation from the Kendrapara MP, the BJD supremo said, “I’m busy with my development work for the State. People are well aware of what’s going on.”

Notably, the office of Baijayant Panda on Tuesday had claimed that people opposing development were not happy over the overhead water tank project inauguration which has been set up with MPLAD funds in Buhalo Panchayat under Nischintakoili block in Cuttack district.

The office had claimed that certain people  were not happy because they could not collect any PC for the project as it was beyond their reach. These anti-social elements were getting protection and support from a corrupt non-Odia officer of 3rd floor, popularly known as ‘Office of the Chief Minister’.
