Bolangir: Close on the wheels of a recent incident in Bhubaneswar in which an unruly Uzbek woman was rescued by police in an inebriated condition, Town Police rescued a drunken girl from the Bolangir railway station on Thursday.
The incident came to foreafter some locals spotted the girl wandering aimlessly at the railway station. Finding that she was alone and intoxicated, they immediately called up Town Police which rescued hert.
Informing about the incident, Prashant Patnaik, IIC, Town Police Statio,n said it was not possible to extract any information from the girl taking since she was not in her senses. During questioning, the girl was able to inform only that she was from Badambadi area in Cuttack. Police would try to establish her identity once the infleunce of alcohol wears off, he added.
“The girl was rescued in an inebriated condition and hence was not able to answer any question of the cops properly at the Town Police Station where she has been kept. We would try to establish her identity and would try to know who and under what circumstances brought her here,” said Patnaik.
