In recent news, anti-fraud associations in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait have intensified their penalties on the usage of heart emojis while communicating online.

The simple act of sending emojis, especially red heart ones, can land you in jail in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.

The exchange of red heart symbol can lead to legal actions against the sender, like fines, and imprisonments. Individuals, particularly men, are likely to find themselves at the receiving end of the serious legal consequences.

Kuwait has taken a stern approach for people found guilty of sending heart emojis. Recent reports indicate that people sending heart emojis are likely to land in jail for up to two years along with hefty fine.

The country has witnessed a surge in number of legal proceedings, resulting in over 2,000 cases of convictions related to the misuse of heart emojis in the last two years.

Similarly, Saudi Arabia has also instructed strict penalties on the usage of heart emojis. Sending a heart emoji on platforms like WhatsApp can lead to fines up to 1,00,000 Saudi Riyals (Over 22,00,00 INR), along with jail term.

The anti-fraud associations in Saudi Arabia continue to warn people against the usage of heart emojis in online communication. It is a strict advisory that users refrain from sending any form visual representation of hearts, be it images or emojis. This is to avoid being subjected to any potential legal action.
