Colorado SC disqualifies Donald Trump from 2024 US Presidential ballot

The Supreme Court of Colorado has reportedly disqualified Donald Trump from contesting for the 2024 US Presidential ballot.

Washington DC: In recent news, the Supreme Court of Colorado has reportedly disqualified Donald Trump from contesting for the 2024 US Presidential ballot. This decision comes after Trump’s involvement was confirmed in the Capitol attack that took place back on January 6, 2021.

This decision makes Donald Trump the first candidate in American History, to be disqualified from the Presidential Ballot. Reports from reliable sources state that Trump has been banned under the Section 3 of the 14th Amendment.

Notably, this provision disapproves of officials bearing office, if they have engaged in any sort of “insurrection or rebellion” act.

This decision marks a victory for groups opposing Donald Trump and also for anti-Trump voters who have faced similar legal challenges in other states.

For the unversed, Donald Trump’s involvement was confirmed in the 2021 Capitol attack. On January 6, 2021, a mob of his supporters invaded the US Congress — at this urging and direction — to prevent lawmakers from certifying Joe Biden as the next President, which is a procedural formality of the presidential election process.
