Limpopo (South Africa): Atleast 45 people were killed and one sustained serious injuries when a bus carrying easter worshippers in South Africa crashed off a cliff on Thursday.
The incident took place at Limpopo, a region in northeast South Africa.
As per reports, the passenger bus was transporting from Botswana to Moria, a town in Limpopo for an Easter conference, when the driver lost control over its wheels and collided with the barriers of the bridge and hit the ground. The bus reportedly caught fire after falling.
The South Africa Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) said that one sole survivor is an eight-year-old girl who has been airlifted to the hospital for medical treatment.
The exact reason for the crash is under investigation.
Efforts are on to recover the bodies of the passenger who were killed, according to the statement.
