Rs 249 Prepaid plan: Get 2GB daily data with 500MB free data benefit

In a time where the consumption of data through smartphone is continuously increasing, the competition among the data providers is also increasing. One of the major telecom services providers of India, Bharti Airtel has announced additional data of 500MB for its Rs 249 prepaid plan. This makes it quite evident that the company is observing the needs of its customers from time to time and making necessary amends.

This development by Airtel was reported by Telecomtalk. However, the customers need to be clarified on the fact that the Rs 249 is an old plan and not a new one. The only new thing about the plan is that it gets free 500 MB/ day. In simpler terms, it means that now users will get additional 0.5 GB data along with the regular 1.5 GB data daily.

For those who are unknown about the plan, the Airtel prepaid Rs 249 plan offers daily 1.5 GB data along with truly unlimited calls, 100 SMS/day and a validity of 28 days. The users are also entitled to additional benefits like subscription to Amazon Prime Video Mobile Edition Free Trial, Free Hellotunes, Free Wynk Music, FASTag cashback etc. Post the free data users get 2 GB data daily.

With this update, in the Rs 249 plan equals Reliance Jio Rs 249 prepaid plan. The Jio Rs 249 plan offers users with free calling, unlimited SMS and 2 GB data per day. Users are entitled to total 56 GB data under this plan. Jio also offers complimentary subscription to Jio Apps like JioTv, Jio Cinema, JioSecurity and JioCloud etc.

On the other hand, Vodafone Idea (Vi) also offers Rs 249 prepaid plan, this plan offers its users with Rs 1.5 GB daily data along with a weekend data rollover. The Vi users get the unused data from Monday to Friday of a week in the weekend (Saturday and Sunday).

If you are an Airtel user and wish to opt for a plan which gives daily 2GB data to its users, then you have a lot of plans to choose from. Users can opt for prepaid plans like Rs 449, Rs 698, Rs 699, Rs 2498 and Rs 2798.
