Oppo A55s 5G with 4,000mAh battery, dual rear cameras launched: check price, specifications

Oppo A55s 5G has been launched in Japan under its A-series. The new Oppo phone comes with a 6.5-inch 90Hz LCD with FHD+ resolution and a punch-hole design. The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 480 SoC and a 4,000mAh battery.

The phone has a dual rear camera setup housed in a rectangular-shaped camera module. There is no information on the phone’s arrival in other markets including India yet.

Oppo A55s 5G price, sale

The new Oppo A55s 5G price is set at JPY 32,800 which is around Rs 21,200 in Indian rupees for the single 4GB RAM + 64GB storage configuration. The phone has launched in two colour options such as the Green and Black.

The phone already up for reservations from partnering Oppo retailers across Japan and is set to go on its first sales on November 26.

On the specifications front, the Oppo A55s 5G features a 6.5-inch full-HD+ LCD LTPS display with 1,080×2,400 pixels of resolution and up to 90Hz refresh rate. The display also has 405pp pixel density, up to 180Hz touch sampling rate, and 96 percent NTSC. It runs on ColorOS 11-based Android 11 software.

Under the hood, the phone has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 SoC that is aided by a 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, which can be expanded further using a microSD card slot.

For photography, the phone sports a dual rear camera setup headlined by a 13-megapixel main sensor with an f/2.2 aperture and a secondary 2-megapixel depth shooter with an f/2.4 aperture. The smartphone features an 8-megapixel selfie snapper with an f/2.0 aperture, at the front. The handset comes with Ultra Night mode that improves photos taken in low light.

Oppo A55s 5G is backed by a 4,000mAh battery that supports 18W Fast charging through a USB-C port and the bundled charger. The phone supports face recognition.

Connectivity options on the device include Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth v5, USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio jack, and more. The phone also has accelerometer, gyroscope sensor, magnetic sensor, optical sensor, and proximity sensor. In terms of dimension, it measures 162.1×74.7×8.2mm and weighs 178 grams.
