OnePlus Nord 2T debuts in India with 80W fast charging, Price starts at Rs 28,999

OnePlus Nord 2T has arrived in India on Friday as the latest offering from the Chinese company with a starting price of Rs 28,999. The new OnePlus Nord 2T have mostly similar specifications to those of its predecessor the original Nord 2 smartphone. The Nord 2T is powered by a new MediaTek chipset, and has support for 80W faster charging.

OnePlus promises three years of significant Android OS and security updates for its new mid-range 5G handset. The OnePlus Nord 2T currently runs Android 12 out of the box, that means the phone will get Android 13 and Android 14 in the future.

OnePlus Nord 2T Price in India

OnePlus Nord 2T retails in the Rs 30,000 pricing range in India. The smartphone is priced at Rs 28,999 in India for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage option and Rs 33,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. The smartphone will be available for purchase to interested buyers from July 5.

Talking about its specifications, the new OnePlus Nord phone comes with a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ quality and a refresh rate of 90Hz rather than 120Hz. It also boasts HDR 10+ certification, allowing customers to watch high-quality material on this mid-range smartphone.

Under the hood, the phone contains a new MediaTek Dimensity 1300 chipset that powers the device. It has up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The device packs a 4,500mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging. The company has claimed that the device can be fully charged in roughly 30 minutes. This will be the second phone to have 80W fast chargers except for the 10R smartphone.

The OnePlus Nord 2T sports a triple rear camera configuration that includes a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary sensor with OIS capability. The other cameras on the device includes an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera as well as a 2-megapixel tertiary sensor. At the front of the device, it carries a 32-megapixel camera to capture selfies. The camera has EIS (Electronic Image Stabilisation) capability that can captures stabilised videos.
