HMD Barbie Phone launched in selected global markets, offered in iconic pink shade

HMD has finally launched the Barbie Phone across selected markets across the world today. The device is a basic flip phone with camera features.  The device will be appealing to those who are Barbie fans and have adored the pop culture around it. The device is priced at $129 in the US market and is offered in iconic pink shade.

Speaking about the design of the phone, it is a regular flip phone with a rear camera and flash. The external display of the device offers a mirror while in the inside we get a regular keyboard with navigation controls. Apart from the device in the box users get a USB-Type C charger, battery, jewellery box, beaded lanyards with charms, extra back covers, stickers, and gems inside the box. The device offers Malibu Snake game that is beach-themed.

In terms of specifications, the HMD Barbie Phone gets 2.8-inch QVGA primary display and a 1.77-inch QQVGA cover screen which doubles up as a mirror. In terms of processor, the device gets a Unisoc T107 SoC along with a RAM of 64MB. The on-board storage is 128MB. However, users can expand the memory through a MicroSD card. The UI that is offered on the device is Barbie-themed and is based on S30+ OS. Users are greeted with a “Hi-Barbie” voice as turn on the device.

On the rear, the HMD Barbie Phone gets a 0.3-megapixel rear camera with a flash. On the other hand, the battery capacity is 1450mAh removable battery and the estimated talk time is up to nine hours. When it comes to connectivity, we get 4G, Bluetooth 5.0, 3.5mm audio jack, a USB Type-C port, and much more. Dimension-wise the device is 108.4 x 55.1 x 18.9mm in size and weight of 123.5grams.
