Yellow warning for heatwave issued in 7 districts of Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar issued a yellow warning for heatwave in Odisha today in which seven districts of the state will be affected.

The heatwave condition is very likely to prevail over Sonepur, Bargarh, Balangir, Nuapada, Boudh, Jharsuguda, and Kalahandi districts of the state.

These districts have been warned to refrain from traveling as much as possible between 11 am to 3 pm.

Adding to it, the weather in coastal areas are expected to remain cloudy today.

Notably, the mercury in Odisha breached the 40 degrees Celsius mark in 15 places of the State on Thursday.

Balangir and Titilagarh recorded maximum temperatures above 45 degrees Celsius. While Balangir sizzled at 45.3 degrees Celsius, Titilagarh boiled at 45.2 degrees Celsius.
