Mayurbhanj: In a shocking incident, a vegetable seller was stabbed to death in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha, said reports on Monday.
According to reliable reports, an unknown miscreant brutally stabbed a vegetable seller of Daunda village under Patalipura panchayat of Baishinga police station limits on the late night hours o Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Baidhara Sasmal aka Baya. On Sunday night, Baidhara returned home from the weekly market after doing business. Then, after eating he was sleeping in the veranda of the house as usual.
It is worth mentioning that on Sunday night, some unknown miscreant stabbed Baidhara very brutally with a sharp weapon while he was sleeping.
Later, it was seen that an attempt was made to separate his head from the body. Later in the night, the elder son saw his father lying in a pool of blood and informed the other family members and the neighbors.
After receiving the news, the Baishinga police arrived at the scene and started and investigation in this regard. The scientific team and the search dog are searching the place to help of the police find some evidence.
A detailed report is awaited in this regard. The police has launched a manhunt in this matter, and is investigating to know who committed such a gruesome murder.
