Odisha sees 467 fresh Covid cases, reports 3 more deaths

Bhubaneswar: A total of 467 Covid-19 positive cases including 86 in the 0-18 years age group have been detected positive in Odisha in the last 24 hours taking the tally to 10,37,523, informed the Information & Public Relations (I&PR) Department on Friday.

Among the 467 positives, there are 272 quarantine cases and 195 local contact cases. The new recovery cases stands at 573, taking the total number of 10,24,422 Hence, the number of active cases stands at 4,747.

Besides, the state pool has 57 new Covid positive cases.

Meanwhile, the State Health & Family Welfare Department informed about the death of three COVID infected patients, taking the death toll to 8,297 after due completion of death audit process. The list does not reflect deaths occurring on a particular day. It gives details of past deaths for which the death audit process has been duly completed and the cause of death has been identified as due to Covid-19.

Details of cases confirmed as death due to Covid-19, after due completion of death audit process:

1. A 74 years old Male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Hypertension.

2. A 47 years old Female of Cuttack District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.

3. A 84 years old Female of Jagatsinghpur District.
