Missing Nepal’s Tara Air flight found! 4 Odias who were on onboard identified

New Delhi: Tribhuvan International Airport chief informed that the Twin Otter 9N-AET belonging to Nepal’s Tara Air that went missing in the mountainous region of the Himalayan nation has been spotted.

The missing aircraft was found at Kowang of Mustang. However, the status of the aircraft is yet to be ascertained.

Army spokesperson Narayan Silwal, while sharing the information given by the locals to the Nepal Army, said that the Tara Air plane crashed at the mouth of the Lamche river under the landslide of Manapathi Himal. Nepal Army is moving towards the site from the ground and air route.

Meanwhile, all the passengers including 4 from Odisha and the crew members who were onboard have been identified. Apart from the four Odia passengers, there were two Germans, 13 Nepali passengers and three Nepali crew.

Here’s the list and identity of the passengers and crew members of Twin Otter 9N-AET:

  • Names of the Indian passengers:Ashok Kumar Tripathi, Dhanush Tripathi, Ritika Tripathi and Vaibhawi Tripathi. Ashok is a resident of Jaydev Vihar area of Bhubaneswar. While he used to stay in Bhubaneswar, his other family members live in Mumbai. They had gone to Nepal on a trip.
  • Names of other passengers:Indra Bahadur Gole, Purushottam Gole, Rajan Kumar Gole, Mick Grat, Basant Lama, Ganesh Narayan Shrestha, Raveena Shrestha, Rasmi Shrestha, Rozina Shrestha, Prakash Sunuwar, Makar Bahadur Tamang, Rammaya Tamang, Sukumaya Tamang, Tulsadevi Tamang and Yuvi Wilner.
  • Names of the Crew members: Captain Prabhakar Ghimire, co-pilot Utsav Pokharel and air hostess Kismi Thapa.

It is to be mentioned there that the Twin Otter 9N-AET plane took off at 10.15 AM from Pokhara but went missing after losing contact with the control tower 15 minutes later.
