Met issues yellow warning for rain in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar today issued Yellow Warning for thunderstorms with lighting for different parts of Odisha.

The weather department has forecasted that light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at many places over the districts of North Odisha, at a few places over the districts of South Coastal Odisha and at one or two places over the districts of South Interior Odisha till tomorrow.

Similarly, the department has also issued Yellow Warning for thunderstorms with lighting very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Sundergarh, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Khurda, Puri and hailstorm likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur and Dhenkanal.

The weather department also informed that light to moderate rainfall has occurred at many places over the districts of North Interior Odisha and dry weather prevailed over the rest districts of Odisha.

Likewise, shallow to moderate fog occurred at one or two places over the districts of Gopalpur, Gajapati and Malkangiri of South Odisha with dense fog occurred at one or two places over the district of Balasore of North Odisha.
