Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik urged the people to protect and preserve the living symbols of the glorious past (Monuments and Sites) on the occasion of the International Day for Monuments and Sites (World Heritage Day) on Wednesday.

“Odisha, the land of mesmerising beauty with timeless monuments, culture & heritage, exudes a grandeur unparalleled. On #InternationalDayforMonumentsAndSites let’s reaffirm our duty to protect & preserve the living symbols of our glorious past for the future #Heritage4Generations,” said Patnaik on his twitter handle.

The International Day for Monuments and Sites is observed on April 18 each year across the world to promote awareness about the diversity of cultural heritage of humanity, their vulnerability and the efforts required for their protection and conservation.
