Chhattisgarh Resident Murdered In Odisha, Four Detained

Bargarh: A 30-year-old resident of Chhattisgarh was allegedly murdered in Sohela late last night. The deceased has been identified as Sanju Padhan, a resident of Saraipali in neighbouring Chhattisgarh.

As per reports, the deceased along with two of his friends had been to Sohela to witness the ‘Ravan Podi’ festival. The trio later visited a country-made liquor shop to consume alcohol.

However, the trio had an argument with the employees of the liquor shop over some matter. The employees of the liquor shop later attacked Sanju with sharp-edged weapons. He was found in a pool of blood and was immediately rushed to the nearest hospital where he was declared received dead.

Sohela police have detained four persons in connection with the murder.
