Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) today started cracking down on the illegal parking lots in the city by lodging formal police complaint.
The civic body today lodged a complaint against the unauthorised collection of parking in front of Reliance Mall near Bhubaneswar railway station. The complaint was registered after the BMC conducted an investigation and found the parking lot of running illegally. The owner of the parking lot escaped from the spot during an inspection by the BMC officials.
Ward Supervisor of South East Zone of BMC lodged the complaint with Kharvel Nagar police station today. BMC has also requested the police to take appropriate action against the person, who was collecting parking fees illegally from the public.
