Berhampur: Berhampur reported the first dengue case of the year on Wednesday.
One Surya Behera from the Scientific Nagar in New Bus Stand area has tested dengue positive for the disease.
Behera is undergoing treatment at MKCG Medical College and Hospital. He is a student and was staying in the area in a mess along with two of his friends for the last three months.
“I was suffering from fever since June 22. Later, I took some medicine without meeting any doctor. But as my condition did not improve, I came to MKCG Hospital yesterday and did my blood test. The report revealed dengue virus in me,” said Behera.
