Nabarangpur: In a shocking incident, a man reportedly killed his ‘best friend’ over a mobile phone in Odisha’s Nabarangpur district.
One Ghanasyam Majhi and Sukalal Majhi of Chatabeda village under Raighar police station limits of the district, who are best friends, allegedly drank liquor together in the evening time on April 7. However, they had a heated argument over a lost mobile.
Their argument turned ugly when Ghanasyam Majhi and Sukalal Majhi attacked each other physically. In the process of their fight, Ghanasyam, on a fit of anger, allegedly crashed Sukalal’s head with a stone.
Unfortunately, Sukalal who sustained critical head injuries following the attack by Ghanasyam died yesterday. Following this, his family members filed a complaint at Raighar police station against Ghanasyam. Based on their complaint, cops arrested the accused and forwarded him to the court.
