Dubai: India captain Virat Kohli continued to be the world’s top-ranked batsman in the latest ICC Test rankings, released here on Thursday.
Kohli, who scored his 25th Test century in the recently-concluded second Test against Australia in Perth, retained his number one spot with 934 points, while New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson was placed in the second rank with 900 points.
Among other Indian batsmen, Ajinkya Rahane gained three places to No. 15 and Rishabh Pant jumped 11 spots to a career-high No. 48.
In bowling charts, Jasprit Bumrah, who bagged five wickets in Perth, climbed five places to number 28.
Mohammed Shami moved up by two slots to number 21, while Ishant Sharma’s five wickets have helped him to take 26th place among bowlers.
