IND vs ENG: India set a target of 557 runs for England, Yashasvi Jaiswal hits double century

Rajkot: India has set a victory target of 557 runs for England to win the third Test match of the five-match series underway at Rajkot.

In the first innings of the match, India scored 445 runs losing all wickets while, the white team could make 319 runs by losing all the wickets.

Meanwhile, in the second innings Yashasvi Jaiswal hit double century. By the end of India’s batting, Jaiswal had scored 214 of 236 balls and was not bowled out. At the same time, Shubman Gill had scored 91 runs in 151.

The Indian team scored 430 runs by losing four wickets in the day 4 of the match. With this, the blue cap lead by 556 runs. During the first phase of the second inning, Joe Root clinched three wickets.

Earlier, India won the toss and opted to bat first against England. In the five match series, both India and England have won one matches each. England won the first test match, while India won the second match.

In the third Test match, R Ashwin completed his 500th wicket. However, he withdrew from the match over some family emergency. But he rejoined the squad on the day four of the match. Ashwin had left Rajkot after day two’s play because of a family medical emergency and missed day three’s play entirely, with the statement of his overnight withdrawal from the match coming at 11pm on Friday.
