In unusual incident, a 21-year-old engineer, known as Kanav on X (formerly Twitter) shared that he made more than Rs.30,000 in August just by posting on the platform.
In the post, he revealed a screenshot of his earnings showing that between July 5 and August 30, he received Rs.67, 419. Out of this, his August earnings alone crossed Rs.32, 000.
“Posting on X is already paying me more than average tier 3 campus placement and I literally only started 2 months ago,” Kanav wrote in his post.
Kanav reportedly earns through X’s Creator Revenue Sharing Programme, which requires a premium subscription and consistent engagement.
He usually posts tech-related content and said that his audience grew steadily in two to three months. At present, he has 882 verified followers and 28.4 million impressions.
His post received mixed reactions from various internet users. While some people praised him and asked for tips, others expressed doubt.
One user commented, “5.2k posts and 5.2k followers. That’s very rare. If all this is achieved in 3 months then it translates to 57 posts per day and 3.6 posts per waking hr assuming you sleep 8hrs/day. Really Impressive but difficult to believe if you’re doing anything else (studies/job) other than X.”
