Puri: On the eve of Rath Yatra – the annual sojourn of the Trinity deities, they will be adorned the Nabajouban Besha at Srimandir today.

After a desperate wait of 15 days, the devotees will get to pay obeisance to their beloved Lord. This is because the Lords were quarantined after the Grand Bath on Snana Purnima.

The Dutta mahapatra Servitors conducted the Banaka Lagi rituals on Wednesday and today the Lords will appear in a new avatar.  As the deities have a new glow following the Banaka Lagi ritual thus the name Nabajouban darshan is aptly justified. The Netrotsav will also be held today.

The temple administration has made arrangements for the orderly darshan of the devotees.

According to the schedule, devotees will have darshan from 8 am to 9 am by showing a ticket, and the public darshan will be held from 9 am to 10.30 am. After the public darshan is over, devotees will not be able to have darshan of Mahaprabhu again.

After that Daitapati Sarbang, Netrosab Vandapana, Yatrangi Mahasnan, Surya Puja, Dwarpala Puja, Gopal Ballabh and after the Sakhala Dhupa, the Rath Jalamala will be pulled from the Rath Khala to Singhdwara at 4.10 pm.

After the bath Snana Purnima, the Lords go the Anasara i.e. isolation for a period of 15 days. For fifteen days, the devotees are deprived of their darshan. At the end of the Anasara, the day when he gives darshan to the devotees is called Navayuvan Darshan. At this time, Mahaprabhu no longer visits the Ratna Sanshana.

After Nabajouban darshan and Netroutsav, the second day of Asadha Shuklapahya, on Rath Yatra, the Lords visit the Srigundicha temple. Devotees eagerly await the opportunity to have the darshan of Navayuvan for a year. Sometimes, there is a slight overlap between Netrosab and Navayauvana Tithi. Netrosab means the final touch of Navayauvana Vesha in the eyes of the Mahaprabhu.
