Ravenshaw University in Cuttack of Odisha awarded A++ in NAAC accreditation
Ravenshaw University in Cuttack of Odisha has been awarded A++ in National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) accreditation.
Cuttack: Ravenshaw University in Cuttack of Odisha has been awarded A++ in National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) accreditation. Established in 2006, Ravenshaw University was recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and had been initially accredited with an ‘A’ grade by NAAC.
From 20 November to 22 November, a five-member team went to both the campuses of Ravenshaw in Cuttack city of Odisha. The NAAC team highly commended the curricular aspects, teaching, learning, research and innovation, leadership and management, infrastructure, Braille library and Renaissance Community Radio of the University.
From a total of 3.58 marks, Ravenshaw has been rated as A++. In the last year 2016, NAAC team gave Ravenshaw A grade status and now it has been given A Plus Plus status.
It is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Ravenshaw University has 25 plus departments offering courses in various streams. The university offers over 90+ courses at UG, PG and PhD level. Ravenshaw University has signed MoUs with a number of institutes to bring better learning opportunities to the students.
Founded with the Vision to spread the light of learning, and guided by the motto “Jnanameva Shakti” (Knowledge is power), Ravenshaw University aims to preserve its position as the “temple of learning”, with a deep knowing that the phrase exists in the vernacular for a reason.

With the aforesaid vision, the University has adopted three main principles – coordination, hierarchy and functional differentiation – to maintain unified goals and vision. The university realizes the demand of quality higher education and requirement of connectivity between the classroom education and the societal application. It visions to initiate future programmes to impart skills, as demanded by the society and the stake holders and training of applicability.
