Landslide hits movement of trains on K-K line in Odisha, several trains cancelled
According to sources, the railway track remained blocked after a landslide near the Jerati railway station following heavy rain as predicted by the weather department.
Koraput: Landslide between Malliguda- Jarati stations has reportedly disrupted movement of several trains on Koraput-Kirandul line of Walair Division on Wednesday.
According to sources, the railway track remained blocked after a landslide between Malliguda- Jarati stations following heavy and incessant rain as predicted by the weather department.
- The landslide on the rail track has heavily affected movement of the following trains:
- The train No. 18448 Jagdalpur- Bhubaneswar Hirakhand Express leaving Jagdalpur on 02.07.2025 is cancelled.
- 18448 Jagdalpur- Bhubaneswar Hirakhand Express leaving Jagdalpur on 03.07.2025 will originate from Koraput instead of Jagadalpur.
- The train No. 18516 Kirandul- Visakhapatnam Night express leaving Kirandul on 02.07.2025 is cancelled.
- 18516 Kirandul- Visakhapatnam Night express leaving Kirandul on 02.07.2025 will originate from Koraput instead of Kirandul.
- 18515 Visakhapatnam-Kirandul Night Express from Visakhapatnam on 02.07.2025 will run up to Koraput and will remain cancelled from Koraput to Kirandul.
- 18447 Bhubaneswar-Jagadalpur Hirakhand Express from Bhubaneswar on 02.07.2025 will run up to Koraput.
- 18447 Bhubaneswar-Jagadalpur Hirakhand Express from Bhubaneswar on 03.07.2025 will remain CANCELLED for Rake adjustment.
- 18005 Howrah-Jagadalpur Samaleswari Express from Howrah will run up to Koraput.
- 18107 Rourkela-Jagadalpur Express from Rourkela on 02.07.2025 will run up to Koraput.
- 18108 Jagadalpur-Rourkela Express left Jagadalpur on 02.07.2025 and its current position at Chatriput, will return back to Jagadalpur and services up to Rourkela will remain CANCELLED.
- 18108 Jagadalpur-Rourkela Express left Jagadalpur on 03.07.2025 will originate from Koraput instead of Jagadalpur.
- 58501 Visakhapatnam-Kirandul Express left Visakhapatnam today and now current position at Jarati will remain cancelled from Jarati to Kirandul.
- 58501/58502 Visakhapatnam-Kirandul-Visakhapatnam Passenger on 03.07.2025 will run between Visakhapatnam and Araku and will remain cancelled between Araku and Kirandul from both sides.
- 18006 Jagadalpur-Howrah Samaleswari Express from Jagadalpur on 03.07.2025 will originate from Koraput instead of Jagadalpur.
The railway officials rushed to the site for assessment, planning and ensuring early restoration. Heavy earth moving machineries, manpower and materials have been mobilized and the restoration works are on warfooting.
