Bhubaneswar: The Meteorological Center has forecast heavy rainfall for the next 2 days in Odisha as an effect of low pressure system in the Bay of Bengal. It is to be noted that two low pressure systems are now active, one in the BoB and the other in the Arbian sea.

Two low pressure areas have formed simultaneously.

A low pressure has formed in the eastern part of the Bay of Bengal in the Gangetic West Bengal valley bordering southwest Bangladesh. Due to this, rain is continuing in many places in north Odisha, adjacent West Bengal, and Jharkhand.

Meanwhile, a low pressure has formed in south Gujarat and adjacent areas in the western part in the Arabian Sea. The Meteorological Center has informed that a low pressure has formed under the influence of an active cyclone. The low pressure is likely to intensify further.

The Meteorological Center has forecast heavy rainfall in Odisha for the next 2 days. The Meteorological Center has estimated that heavy to very heavy rainfall will occur in Mayurbhanj district today, with heavy rainfall at one or two places.

Meanwhile, fishermen have been advised not to go into the sea as the sea is turbulent due to the effect of the low pressure.
