Berhampur: In a shocking incident, the body of a four-year-old girl has been recovered from an abandoned house, it has been alleged that she has been sexually abused. The incident has been reported from Patpur police station jurisdiction of Ganjam district.
According to reports, the girl had gone missing since yesterday afternoon when she went to her maternal uncle’s house. The family searched for her everywhere but could not find her. The family then filed a complaint at the police station. The girl was then found from an abandoned house by the police this morning.
The police then rescued the girl and she was taken to Adapada Hospital where the doctor declared her brought dead.
However, it has been alleged that the child was murdered after being sexually assaulted. Further, the police reached the crime scene and collected some samples from the spot. Later, the body of the child has been sent to the Berhampur MKCG Medical College for postmortem.
