UP CM Yogi Adityanath Approves 221 Meter Tall Ram Statue In Ayodhya

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday green signalled the proposal for construction of a 221 meter Ram Statue in Ayodhya. The statue, to be made entirely of bronze, will also house detailed description of all the “Avatars” of Lord Vishnu and will also have arrangements for depiction on the topic ‘Bharat Ke Samasta Sanatan Dharma’ through state of art technology.

Additional Chief Secretary (Information) of Uttar Pradesh Avaneesh Awasthi said, “While the height of the Ram statue would be 151 metres, its overhead umbrella would be 20 metres while the pedestal would be 50 metres.”

Officials from the UP Government have informed that a modern museum inside the base of the Ram statue will will showcase the history of Ayodhya and the entire “Ikshvaku Vansh” right from King Manu to the present status of “Ram Janmabhoomi”.

Notably, this announcement comes after Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 182-metre tall statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel titled Statue of Unity at Nevada in Gujarat.

Meanwhile, the Karnataka Government has also proposed a 125 ft statue worth Rs 1200 crores of ‘Cauvery Mata’ at the Krishna Raja Sagar reservoir in Mandya district.
