Shocking video of West Bengal police dragging the body of Minor rape victim goes viral

West Bengal: In a shocking incident, a minor girl’s body was found at Kaliaganj, West Bengal who allegedly raped and murdered in the Uttar Dinajpur district on Friday.

Body of the girl, aged about 17, was found dead near a pond at Kaliaganj. Body of the deceased was found on the day after the girl had gone missing after tuition classes. Following that, on Saturday, the locals staged a protest demanding justice.

Police said that as the news spread, an irate mob blocked the road with burning tyres and attacked cops with bricks, following which police had to use tear gas shells to disperse the crowd.

The family members have demanded a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into this matter, alleging she was raped and murdered, said police.

Meanwhile, a video purportedly showing the cops dragging the body of the girl on the road has gone viral on social media.

Police said that they have arrested a 20-year-old man in connection with the incident. The girl and the accused were known to each other.

Further investigation is underway.
