Hyderabad: Congress leader Revanth Reddy is expected to be the next Chief Minister of Telangana, sources said. He is likely to take oath on December 7. A few ministers will also be taking oath along with him.

Senior Congress leaders Uttam Kumar Reddy and Bhatti Vikramarka might be given a Deputy Chief Minister post.

Extending its winning run in the south, the Congress on Sunday won 64 Assembly seats to form government.

KCR tendered his resignation as Chief Minister to the state Governor. Congress won 64 seats while the BRS won 39 seats.

Reddy was born on November 8, 1969, at Kondareddy Palli of Mahboobnagar district. He is a graduate of arts and has studied Bachelor of Arts from A. V. College, Osmania University. He was a member of the right-wing ABVP (Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad) while he was a student.

He became the Telangana Congress chief in July 2021.
