Rahul Sahu in ICU at Bilaspur hospital

Chattisgarh: The 10-year-old Rahul Sahu, has been admitted to Bilaspur Apollo Hospital after his rescue from the borewell, informed Chhattisgarh CMO.

Reportedly, Rahul has been kept in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) under the supervision of a team of specialist doctors.

“With all your prayers our brave Rahul is in skilled hands. Sometime back the ambulance has taken him to Apollo Hospital. He is currently kept in the ICU under the supervision of a team of specialist doctors,” tweeted Chhattisgarh’s chief minister’s office.

“Maana ki chunauti badi thi, magar humaari team bhi kahan shaant khadi thi. Raaste aur chattaani the, to iraade humaare faulade the,” tweeted Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel.

Notably, Rahul had been trapped in an 80 feet deep hole after he fell into a borewell in Pihrid village in Janjgir-Champa district where a pipeline was installed for the oxygen supply.

After more than 100 hours of operation, he was successfully rescued. About 150 rescue personnel were deployed for this operation including Indian Army, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), and District Administration.
