Man reported dead for 5 years found living with new wife and 4 children in Delhi
A man from Baghpat of Uttar Pradesh, who went missing and was reported dead, was found alive after five years in Delhi.
New Delhi: A man from Baghpat of Uttar Pradesh, who went missing and was reported dead, was found alive after five years in Delhi. The 45-year-ols man was found working as a taxi driver and living with new wife and four children.
The man, identified as Yogendra Kumar, a resident of Singhawali Ahir in Baghpat, went missing in 2018 after a criminal case was lodged against him and his two brothers. The complaint was registered by a villager identified as Ved Prakash.
After Yogendra went missing, his family suspected that Prakash kidnapped him and killed him. The family of the man later filed a case against Prakash and two others. However, the police couldn’t find any evidence to prove that Kumar was dead.
Nearly after five years, Baghpat police traced Kumar’s whereabouts to Delhi. They detained Kumar and initiated an investigation into the matter. During interrogation, Yogendra revealed that he had a rivalry with Prakash and at the same time he had an extra-marital affair with the woman. After the case was filed in 2018, he left home and started living with the woman in Delhi and have four kids with her.
Further investigation into the matter is underway.
