“If India Win World Cup, Will Give Rs 100 Crore To…”, says Astrotalk CEO

As anticipation builds for the ICC World Cup final match between India and Australia scheduled for Sunday at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Astrotalk CEO Puneet Gupta has claimed to distribute Rs 100 crore to Astrotalk users if India clinches the coveted World Cup trophy.

In a heartfelt post on LinkedIn, Puneet Gupta spoke about the last time India emerged triumphant in the ODI World Cup in 2011. “The last time India won the World Cup was in 2011, I was studying in college, and it was one of the happiest days of my life,” the post read.

“We didn’t sleep well before the day of the match as we kept discussing the match strategy the whole night,” the post further read. The joyous scenes that followed the victory were vividly described as Gupta reminisced about celebrating with friends, going on a bike ride in Chandigarh, and engaging in spontaneous bhangra at every roundabout with strangers.

Expressing his desire to share the upcoming joy with the Astrotalk community, Gupta outlined his plans for this World Cup. “Last time I had a few friends with whom I could share my happiness, but this time we have so many Astrotalk users who are more like friends, so I must do something to share my happiness with them,” he said.

Driven by this sentiment, Gupta revealed, “So, this morning I spoke to my finance team and pledged to distribute Rs 100 crore to our users in their wallets if India wins the World Cup.”

He concluded the post with an optimistic call to support and cheer for India, saying, “Let’s just pray, support, and cheer for India. Indiaaaaa India!!! Hugs in advance.”

India, led by Rohit Sharma, will go head-to-head with the five-time world champion Australia in what promises to be an electrifying World Cup 2023 final on Sunday. The cricketing world awaits the outcome of this epic clash.
