New Delhi: Post the Ahmedabad plane crash, a new decision of the central government has come to the fore. The height of buildings and trees near the airport will be reduced.

According to reports, The Ministry of Civil Aviation will give notice to the owners. Keeping in mind the safety measures, such a notification has been issued under the Civil Aviation Rules 2025.

According to sources, the owner will reduce the height of the house within 60 days of receiving the notice from the Civil Aviation Authority. Any tree obstructing the flight path will be cut down immediately.

In this, the homeowner can apply for compensation. If the homeowner does not demolish the buildings and reduce the height within the stipulated time, then the aerodrome officer will inform the district collector. After this, the height of the house and trees will be reduced under the intervention of the district collector.

It is worth noting that on June 12, there was a major Air India plane crash in Gujarat. Out of the 242 passengers on board the plane during this Ahmedabad crash, 241 lost their lives. Only one passenger survived the fatal accident.
