FIR registered against Payal Rohatgi over her Nehru-Gandhi video

Bollywood actress Payal Rohatgi is facing troubles regarding her Nehru-Gandhi video that she allegedly created defaming the families and shared on social media.

As per the sources, the cyber police in Maharashtra’s Pune city has registered the case against the actress based on a complaint lodged by a local Congress leader. The case was registered on Tuesday, under the Indian Penal Code that sections pertain to promoting enmity between two groups, punishment for defamation, and statements conducting public mischief.

The complaint addresses that Payal along with an unidentified person allegedly created a defamatory video about Mahatma Gandhi, former Prime Ministers Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi, and other members of the Gandhi family, and circulated it on social media.

Reportedly, Congress leader Sangita Tiwari and office-bearers of the party’s Pune city unit approached the police to register an offense against Rohatgi, an official reportedly said to ndtv.
