PM Modi’s Germany tour is coming to an end but an old picture of him posing for the camera nearly 30 years back has been viral on the internet.
The picture shows Modi with a colleague standing in front of what looks like a Marble statue. Reportedly, the picture was clicked in Frankfurt back in early 1994, where Modi had a halt while returning back to India from the U.S. The now Prime Minister was only a BJP worker back then.
The photo was shared on social media by journalist Naveen Kapoor. The attire in the picture he can be seen in is no-where close to how we are used to seeing him today.
The picture shows him in a blue jacket, white shirt and grey trousers. Without his well-groomed grey hair and beard and stylish Indian attire, PM Modi looks barely recognizable in the picture.
Netizens found it hard to believe that the man in the photograph was actually Modi. Later, they ended up juxtaposing the old photograph with a recent one showing Modi receive the ‘guard of respect’ at the ceremonial awards during his recent visit to Germany.
