Sonu Nigam humbly answers to plagiarism accusation by Pakistani singer
Pak singer Omer Nadeem claimed that the recent track ‘Sun Zara’ sung by Sonu is copy of his 2009 composition ‘Aye Khuda’
Mumbai: A controversy erupted recently after Pakistani singer Omer Nadeem claimed that a recent song titled ‘Sun Zara’ sung by Sonu Nigam is a copy of his composition ‘Aye Khuda’ that was released in 2009.
However, Sonu Nigam humbly reacted to the accusation and apologised the Pak singer. He said that he did not know about it. And in his reaction Omer Nadeem also praised Sonu and wrote that “I have never mentioned anywhere in my statement that you did this.” The chat of these renowned singers was uploaded to Instagram.
“I’ve reached a point in my life where I couldn’t care less about these things. But hey, if you’re going to do it, at least toss a little credit to the OG track. If you’re gonna pull this off, could’ve at least done it with some finesse. Huge fan of Sonu Nigam, but let’s be real, this is light years away from the real deal,” Omer Nadeem wrote on his Instagram.
Reacting to the post by Omer Nadeem, Sonu Nigam wrote in the comment box, “Just so you all know, I have nothing to do with this I was requested to do the song by KRK, Who’s my neighbor in Dubai. And The couldn’t refuse him even though I don’t sing or everyone.”
“If I had heard Omar’s version, I would have never sung it,” Sonu also wrote.
Answering to Sonu Nigam’s humble post Nadeem replied, “Hi Sonunigamofficial I agree with you, I never mentioned anywhere in my statement that you did this. The news took a different turn like it always does. I’ve grown up listening to your songs and have learned a lot from you. I am your huge fan. Love you.”
Omer also wrote, “As far as the ‘actual character’ involved in the drama are concerned, they’re not even on my radar. Mentioning them would be like giving a goldfish a lecture on quantum physics. Pointless and they wouldn’t get it anyway. I’d just keep the focus on things that actually matter…”
