Ranbir-Alia’s wedding celebration resembles Neetu and Rishi Kapoor’s
Bollywood’s star couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are now husband and wife. They tied a nuptial knot on Thursday in a very intimate ceremony in the balcony of their Vastu house. Their pictures from the ceremony took over the Internet in no time. The duo looked royal donned in shades of white and gold as they cut a cake and clinked their glasses of champagne to celebrate the union.
Amid this, one of Ranbir and Alia’s picture, where the couple can be seen drinking champagne with their arms linked with each other, went viral on the Internet. Fans came across a throwback picture of Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor, celebrating their marriage in a similar way, and started pointing out the uncanny resemblance.
As per Kapoor family tradition, the members always celebrate unions with a glass of champagne or wine. Alia and Ranbir are not the only ones to clink their glasses to celebrate their love, 42 years ago, Neetu and Rishi Kapoor did the same on their wedding date.

After their marriage was over, the newly-wed also came out to meet their fans and paparazzi who were standing outside the venue. After the meet and greet, Ranbir lifted Alia on his arms and took his bride away from the crowd.
Neetu Singh, on the other hand, also greeted the paps and asked them to bless Alia and Ranbir. She said, “Aap sab khush rehna aur Alia aur Ranbir ko khushiyaan. Wish them all the best.” She then added to her statement that now everyone can sleep peacefully since the wedding is over.
Earlier, sources reported that the star couple’s wedding reception will be held on April 17 at Mumbai’s Taj Mahal Hotel. However, with Neetu’s recent statement it is being speculated that their will be no reception.
