Bangtan Sonyeondan (BTS), has officially renewed their exclusive contract with South Korean K-pop label BigHit Music.

Seoul: The global K-pop sensation, Bangtan Sonyeondan (BTS), has officially renewed their exclusive contract with South Korean K-pop label BigHit Music, an affiliate of the industry giant Hybe. In a joint statement, BTS pledged to “stay together in 2025 and beyond,” solidifying their commitment to the group and their enduring musical journey.

Big Hit Music announced the contract extension, confirming the unanimous decision by their board to renew the exclusive contracts of all BTS members, namely RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook.

Presently, Jin and J-Hope are fulfilling their mandatory military duties in South Korea, while Suga is set to commence his military service on September 22. The conscription period, which can last up to 28 months, generally entails a range of roles related to sanitation, cooking, cleaning, engineering, or medical tasks to minimize any potential physical strain on individuals, particularly in the entertainment industry.

Specifics regarding the length and financial aspects of the renewed contracts were not disclosed, as reported by Deadline.

In an official statement, Hybe expressed excitement about supporting BTS’ upcoming group activities in 2025 and beyond. They reiterated their dedication to providing comprehensive support to elevate BTS’ presence and expand their reach globally.

The signing of each member’s contract will be done sequentially, considering their respective military service schedules. All seven members of BTS are expected to complete their mandatory military service over the next few years, with the group’s hiatus for military service projected to last until 2025.
