Bigg Boss 15 grand finale: Tejasswi Prakash lifts the trophy and takes home the prize money
Bigg Boss 15 has finally got its winner – Tejasswi Prakash was crowned the queen of the reality show’s latest season. After a tough fight between finalists Karan Kundrra, Pratik Sehajpal, Tejasswi Prakash, Shamita Shetty and Nishant Bhatt; Tejasswi Prakash has finally been announced as the winner of the show this year. The top 5 of BB 15 have spent over three months in the house and have worked hard to secure their position in the finals. However, only one had to take the the Bigg Boss 15 trophy home.
Apart from that, Pratik Sehajpal has been announced as the runner-up of the show.
In the middle of the second part of the finale today, Nishant left the show as he took the chance to walked out with the briefcase of Rs.10 lakh, leaving the rest four to compete with each other. However, following him, Shamita Shetty became thee next contestant to get evicted. This left, Karan Kundra, Pratik Sehajpal and Tejasswi Prakash as the top 3 finalists.
Earlier, during the first part of the ‘Bigg Boss 15’ season finale episode that aired on Saturday, Rashami Desai was evicted and announced as the 5th runner-up. After Rashami’s elimination was announced on the show, Salman Khan surprised Shamita by revealing that Raqesh had come there to support her. While Raqesh praised Shamita for her performance on the show, he also slammed Tejasswi for misbehaving with his girlfriend.
After a long discussion regarding the previous fight Karan tried to explain that Tejasswi did not intend to age-shame while Shamita said that an apology cannot be accompanied by an explanation.
Today’s episode, part 2 of the Bigg Boss 15 finale, also had a special tribute to late actor Sidharth Shukla, who was the ‘Bigg Boss 13’ winner. Shehnaaz Gill made a special appearance as she performed on stage in his remembrance.
As the night went by, and after Shehnaaz delivered a strong performance, she declared Pratik Sehajpal and Tejasswi Prakash as the top two finalist of this season’s finale. Along with the finalists announcement, the show host Salman Khan also gave a surprise to Tejasswi’s fans by revealing her as the new Naagin. Aparenetly, the actress has been chosen to play the lead for the popular TV series Naagin season 6.
Tejasswi Prakash lifted the trophy of Bigg Boss 15 along with the prize money of Rs. 40 lakh.
Other than that, last season’s Bigg Boss winner, Rubina dilaik, also graced the stage with her presence. Shweta Tiwari and Urvashi Dholakia among other TV celebs became a part of the festivities. Bollywood celebs Deepika Padukone and Siddhant Chaturvedi also shared the stage with host Salman Khan during the finale episode of the reality show, Bigg Boss 15. She was on the sets to promote her upcoming film, Gehraiyaan. The show concluded on January 29 and 30, wrapping up the nearly four-month long journey of the housemates.
