Bollywood’s star couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt got married in an intimate ceremony on April 14. After the pictures from their wedding festivities surfaced online, fans have been mesmerised the couple’s looks and the love they share. As per the sources, Alia Bhatt’ mother Soni Razdan has gifted a high-end expensive watch to son-in-law Ranbir Kapoor. The cost of the watch is reportedly around Rs. 2.50 crore.
Apart from that, the bride specially picked Kashmiri shawls as gifts for the guests, sources claims. The couple too exchanged gifts; while Ranbir gave a diamond ring to his lady love, Alia gave a band to him.
According to a report by Bollywoodlife, Alia Bhatt’s girl gang demanded Rs. 11.5 crores from Ranbir during the joota chupai ritual. The event turned out to be quite a fun affair, however, the Barfi actor ended up handing them an envelope that had Rs. 1 lakh in it.
Sources also reveal that Alia has skipped the traditional chooda ritual. As per the tradition, a punjabi bride wears the chooda for at least 40 days to a year. But, though Alia will shortly begin filming for her next, which will most likely be her Hollywood debut alongside Hollywood actor Gal Gadot, she won’t be able to wear the chooda for that long.
